Driving Routes

To help Indianapolis Motor Speedway guests determine the best driving routes to parking locations nearest to their seats, the track has been divided into four color zones. These zones and streets are listed below.

Traffic Update
There is a new roundabout located at 16th Street and Crawfordsville Road. Guests cannot access Georgetown Road from 16th Street or Crawfordsville Road because it does not connect to the roundabout. Guests can access Georgetown Road from 25th Street to reach Gate 7. View More Information

On Race Days credentialed guests can access Georgetown Road from 25th Street to reach Gate 7, which will only be open to vehicles with a corresponding parking pass or those displaying a disabled placard until 2:30 p.m. on Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis race day and 7 a.m. on Indianapolis 500 Race Day

16th Street will be closed during the running of this year’s Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis between Olin Avenue on the east to the 16th Street roundabout on the west from approximately one hour prior to the start of the race, until the end of the race. It will be closed beginning at 12 p.m. for the Indianapolis 500 until the end of the race. In addition, during these times 16th Street will not be accessible from Polco Street, as it will be blocked at 10th Street.

Shuttle Service

Starting at 8 a.m. on Race Day morning, shuttles will transfer fans from 4 different locations around Indianapolis to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Tickets are round-trip and one-way and can be purchased at the departure locations or in advance online.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Along with a daily parking pass for the lot in which you would like to park, each customer must have a state-issued disabled hang tag or license plate on/in their vehicle. The disabled parking areas will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis for those who have the appropriate passes. At the point in which the disabled area is full, all vehicles with daily parking passes will be parked together.

  • Lot 1B
  • Lot 2
  • Lot 3 Pavement
  • Hall of Fame Museum (inside Gate 2)
  • Lot 7 (North 40)
